The hotel has a traditional Mexican design with beautiful gardens that offer a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The hotel is located in a remote area, which provides a sense of privacy and tranquility.
The hotel is challenging to find, and the road leading up to it can be nerve-wracking, especially at night. The rooms are not adequately heated, and the pool is freezing, making it difficult to enjoy.

We loved the hotel's spacious and comfortable rooms, heated pool, and beautiful gardens. It's a perfect spot to relax in the mountains with a lake view. The buffet breakfast in the traditional kitchen was delicious and made by great chefs. The staff was kind and accommodating, and parking was provided on-site without any extra fee.
Nothing we didn't like to be fair.

Located in the mountainous region above Avándaro, this hotel boasts beautiful gardens and a traditional Mexican hacienda style. the friendly staff made us feel welcomed upon arrival, and the breakfast was delicious, with eggs cooked to order. the rooms, though cold at times, were comfortable with interesting decor and ping pong, pool and hockey for entertainment.
The pool was too cold due to low occupancy and poor care.

This hotel offered luxurious amenities such as a relaxing spa and wellness centre, with a selection of treatments such as massages and a spa lounge. the sun terrace and outdoor swimming pool were beautifully designed with beach umbrellas provided for additional comfort. the room had exclusive facilities such as a private jacuzzi and a picnic area; perfect for a romantic getaway.
My only minor issue was that the bar/lounge area was small, but the selection of drinks and snacks more than made up for it. this hotel exceeded my expectations and provided a fantastic experience with its exclusive amenities.

This traditional Mexican boutique hotel is the perfect place to live the ultimate Mexican experience. the place is beautifully decorated with ceramic flower pots, amazing tiling on the walls, and gardens that make you feel like you are in a Mexican hacienda. the Smoked Kitchen on Sundays offers a fantastic buffet experience with delicious, traditional Mexican cuisine. One of the best things about this place is the location. You are located in a remote area that gives you a break from the touristy chaos of the bigger cities and towns.
The only downside to this place is that, as with much of Mexico, there are reports of recent kidnappings in the area so it's better to travel during the daylight hours, just to be on the safe side. the beds are on the softer side, so if you prefer a firm bed, you might want to ask for that in your reservation.
